Drama Workshop Take 4!

Room 4 had their 4th drama workshop today with Peter and Juliet.  We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to learn new skills in drama.  Please enjoy our photos and captions.
We wait in our "home" position and listen carefully to Peter.
We use a warm up game and walk around the room, smiling at another person, sometimes we don't look at the other person or we might look at them for a long time.
We are learning about the different status of characters - are they low or high status characters?
Peter read us a poem about bullying.  In groups of 5, we role-played characters from the poem.  Then we freeze-framed in that role.
Freeze-frame in role.
In-role in our character - freeze-frame.
We drew an outline of one of the main characters from the poem.  Then we had to write words to describe him.
Busy thinking of keywords to describe Billy, the bully.

Peter, the drama teacher, is "in-role" as Billy, we ask him questions to find out more about why he is the way he is.  We need to think about asking open-ended questions to find out more information about him.

    1. Thanks for checking in Mrs J. The drama lessons have been great for the children. I'm noticing they are bringing these skills into the classroom too when we do role-play in class.
